IMSI

IMSI (INTRACYTOPLASMIC MORPHOLOGICALLY SELECTED SPERM INJECTION)

This process is a specialized form of ICSI wherein the sperm which is magnified 200 X to 400 X in ICSI, is magnified to 6000X for IMSI. This is generally beneficial to the patients having severe male factor infertility, it is also done when the sperms have been obtained from surgical means from the testes and in patients of recurrent miscarriages and previous IVF failures. This process like mentioned is same as ICSI but a separate program MSOME Is used wherein the selected sperm dimensions and morphology is extrapolated to the normal sperm and that resembling the normalcy is taken in for ICSI to be injected in the matured oocyte.
